Player Agents

This section provides information on individuals that wish to apply to become a FIFA Players’ Agent

The FIFA Players’ Agent examination is held twice annually.

In order to be eligible to sit the examination in Wales a candidate must have been resident in Wales for at least the previous two years and must be able to confirm this via a copy of a relevant bill.
The examination is held in March and September each year and there is currently a £100.00 fee to sit the examination. This includes an enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) check.

The examination consists of 15 questions set by FIFA and 5 set by the Football Association of Wales (FAW). Candidates have a maximum of 90 minutes to complete the examination and no copies of any applicable regulations are permitted into the examination room. The examination takes places at the FAW Headquarters in Cardiff.

Successful candidates are required to take out the necessary insurances to trade as a FIFA Players’ Agent within 12 months of passing the examination.

The examination material will consist of the following documents:

  • FIFA Statutes, as adopted at the Congress in Johannesburg on 10 June 2010
  • Regulations governing the application of the FIFA Statutes
  • FIFA Regulations on the Status and Transfer of Players, edition 2010, including the Annexes (1 to 5)
  • Rules for the Status and Transfer of Futsal Players, Annex 6 of the FIFA Regulations
  • FIFA Players’ Agent Regulations, edition 2008, including the Annexes 1, 2 and 3
  • Rules governing the procedures of the Players’ Status Committee and the Dispute Resolution Chamber (DRC) 2008 edition
  • FIFA Disciplinary Code, Edition 2009 first Title: Chapter 1, Section 1 to 6 and Chapter II, Section 8
