Wales Under 17 men had a convincing 4-0 win over Liechtenstein in Carmarthen this evening (Wednesday).
The first goal, a header from captain Tom Atyeo came early (4m) and Wales never looked back against visitors who were smaller in stature and never got into the game.
Jake Charles made it 2-0 on 12 minutes, scoring from a tight angle and on twenty minutes Kyle Copp shot from some 15 yards out and into the net. The game was all-over as a contest, but both sides continued to work hard on a pitch that had plenty of grass, but was uneven.
Second Wales Goal
In the second half both sides made substiutions at regular intervals, and the rhythm of the game was effected.
A final goal came for Wales on the hour mark through substitute Owain Jones, who got a toe to a fine cross from Abdi Noor to beat the visiting keeper.
A good work-out for Wales against a team of hard-working opponents. The Wales Under 17 team now plays their UEFA qualifiers in Estonia in September against England, N.Ireland and the hosts.

The Wales men's under 17 side will play a friendly with Liechtenstein.
The match will be played at Richmond Park, Carmarthen on Wednesday 19th September at 6pm.
The admission is free. The game will be in preparation for the UEFA qualifying matches to be held in Estonia, when Wales will face the hosts, plus England and Northern Ireland between the 21st - 26th October.
